Mary Jo Mugford (nee Buron), 78, of South St. Paul, beloved wife, mother, grandma and sister, went to heaven Dec. 20, 2012, to join her parents, Sam and Agnes Buron, brother Sam Jr., and sister Margaret. Survived by loving husband of 57 years, John W. Mugford; sister Nancy Ottmann; children Josephine Arrigoni, Jennifer Mumford Brady (Rob), John B. Mugford (Liz); grandchildren Jack and Lucy Mugford, Amy Belden, Anna Mumford, and Bobby Brady; great-grandson James Beldon; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mary Jo died after a seven-year battle with Alzheimer's. Her family is very thankful for the loving care she received at Southview Senior Living. A graduate of St. Joseph's Academy ('52), she was a dedicated and loving wife and mother; an Avon lady for many years. She loved to go on cruises and vacation in Florida, and enjoyed many cross-country driving trips with her husband. Visitation from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at Klecatsky Southern Funeral Home, 414 Marie Ave. and Fifth St., South St. Paul. Mass of Christian burial 10AM, Saturday, Dec. 22, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 749 6th Ave. S., South St. Paul. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Holy Trinity School.
Max F. Sanford Sr., 89, of South St. Paul, beloved husband, "One of a kind Dad," passed away on Dec 17. Max is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lucille; children, Max Jr "Mick" and Kay Sanford, Maureen "Beany" Sanford, Marilyn & Allan Errey and Michele & Scott Decker; two grandsons, Jeff & (Lia) and Michael; and great-grandson Magnus. Also survived by sisters Delores Lindell and Doris and Tony Onischuk. Special thank you to dear friend Shirley for her tender care, his Allina Hospice team and Comfort Keepers. Memorial service 11 a.m. Thursday at Luther Memorial Church, 315 15th Ave. N., South St. Paul. Family will greet friends one hour before service on Thursday and again at the fellowship following the service. Private family interment. World War II Marine Corps veteran and a former employee of Northern Pacific and Burlington Northern Railroads. Memorials preferred to Neighbors Inc., Wounded Warriors or Luther Memorial Church.
