Armed Robber Hits Gas Station on Concord Boulevard

The man, who police say was armed with a handgun, made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the convenience store.

The Inver Grove Heights Police Department is looking for an African American male who they believe held up a on Concord Boulevard with a handgun just before 7:30 p.m. Nov. 24.

The robber, who police say was armed with a handgun, made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the convenience store, located on the 6300 block of Concord Boulevard in Inver Grove Heights. The man was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and gloves, according to Interim Police Chief Larry Stanger. He was described as approximately 5'10" with a "thinner build."

"He entered the store with what appeared to be a gun in his hand and demanded money," Stanger said. After holding up the store, the suspect ran west across Concord Boulevard, Stanger said.

No arrests have yet been made in the active investigation, Stanger said. The interim police chief said the suspect's matches that of a suspect in several other recent armed robberies of convenience stores in the metro area.
