Severe Thunderstorm Watch Expires
Dakota County enjoys at least one thunderstorm-free day this Memorial weekend.
The National Weather Service has canceled a severe thunderstorm watch for Dakota County.
Several weather systems that have passed through Minnesota in the past week, dumping more than an inch of rain in many places. Lightning also struck several buildings throughout the Twin Cities area.
Because of those storms, government officials are also on the lookout for flooding along the Mississippi River at various spots, including Savage, St. Paul and Hastings.
