UPDATED: Snow Off the Tuesday Night Forecast

After predicting as much as a half-inch of snow on Tuesday night, the National Weather Service called off its winter weather prediction.

Call it a false alarm.

Officials at the National Weather Service were predicting that the Inver Grove Heights area could receive as much as a half-inch of snow on Tuesday night. But that wintry outlook was later amended; the storm expected to hit the Twin Cities is now headed for central Wisconsin.

Tonight, expect clouds, a north-northeast wind and a low around 34 degrees. Wednesday will start cloudy, then gradually become mostly sunny, with a high near 43, according to the national weather service.
