Editor’s Note: The following press release is from the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
All interested parties are invited to attend an open house to learn more about a traffic crossover MnDOT is building from the existing Lafayette Bridge to the new northbound bridge.
In late January or early February 2013, no vehicle combinations of more than 35 feet in length will be allowed to use the Highway 52 Lafayette Bridge spanning the Mississippi River until the crossover is removed in late November 2013.
The open house will be Tuesday, Dec. 6 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Neighborhood House at 179 Robie Street East in St. Paul.
Open house attendees will be able to learn the details of the project, view project layouts and detour information and ask questions of MnDOT and the city of St. Paul project staff.
