Inver Hills Application Fee Waived for Military Vets
Inver Hills has been named a "Military Friendly School" for three consecutive years by G.I. Jobs Magazine.

All military veterans and service members can now apply to Inver Hills Community College without paying the college's application fee, according to a statement Monday.
Inver Hills has always waived application fees for active duty military members but, with Monday's policy decision, will extend that privilege to veterans beginning in the Fall of 2012.
The standard application fee for all prospective Inver Hills students is $20.
According to Inver Hills, the addition of veterans is part of an effort by the college to identify student veterans early, and to increase outreach and awareness of the benefits and services available specifically to veteran students.
The new policy could not have come at a better time for prospective Inver Hills veterans.
"The population of veteran and service member students at Inver Hills has skyrocketed in recent years, thanks in part to the college's comprehensive offering of veteran-specific support services, scholarships, networking opportunities, and collaboration with area communities and agencies," the statement says.
Named a "Military Friendly School" for three consecutive years by G.I. Jobs Magazine, Inver Hills also is the only metro-area community college to be identified as one of the magazine's student veteran-rated schools.
The college has committed to President Obama's Principles of Excellence for Educational Institutions Serving Service Members, Veterans, Spouses and Other Family Members, which ensures that veterans' benefits programs are provided with the information, support and protections that recipients deserve.
