Vote: Best Pizza in Northern Dakota County
Voting for Reader's Choice 2012 runs from today through Aug. 17.
The Japanese put squid ink and a corn on their pizza. The Neopolitans would shudder to think of anything but pizza margherita. German pizza includes potatoes, beef, butter and pepper.
But here, in Northern Dakota County, pizza means a certain something to most of us.
Sometimes it means cracker crispy crust; other times it means a greasy crust drenched in cheese and sauce. Vegetarians prefer fresh veggies, while meat lovers prefer a different style.
Patch readers nominated a bevy of pizza places throughout Northern Dakota County. Now you get to decide who will receive the Readers' Choice award.

If Savoy's were on this list, it would not be a 'contest'. Let's not forget the mom & pop pizza places when craving a pizza. I hear Piccolo's and Scarpino's have great pizzas, etc. IMHO, for consistently great pizza, service and quality my vote is for PIZZA MAN. It always gets a big WOW when I serve to house guests who have never indulged!

Old World Pizza is the best and if any place else wins it comes close. IGH Pizza Man is okay, but nowhere near Old World Pizza.

Pizza Man must be doing a marketing campaign or clearing the cache on their computer and re-voting to garner all these votes and comments. Pizza Man is decent but it is nowhere near as good as Old World Pizza. If Pizza Man wins this, then this is a fraudulent poll. No way it is better than OWP. If you want proof, check out OWP over lunch for the buffet they have and then check out the Pizza Man buffet. No one is at Pizza Man! I don't mind Pizza Man, but it is not even the top 1 or two pizza joints in IGH. OWP all the way and in a landslide.

The category isn't best Lunch Buffet, it's Best Pizza. Just because someplace doesn't have a buffet compareable to OWP doesn't mean there pizza isn't just as good. Some people think Little Ceasars is the best...we all have our own opinions.
