Live Out Your 'Hunger Games' at Lebanon Hills Regional Park

Teens can learn to survive in one of Dakota County's "toughest" regional parks using tactics shown in "The Hunger Games." Other action around Inver Grove includes family fun and a top speaker for local professionals.

It's beautiful outside and your teenager is inside doing who-knows-what on some sort of electronic device.

Time to go "Hunger Games" on it.

Lebanon Hills Regional Park and the Dakota County Library system are teaming up today for a live-action, "Hunger Games" style lesson for kids 12 to 16.

Here's the rundown: The two groups - Dakota Co. Library and Lebanon Hills - will help you learn which plants can help you make it in the "Hunger Games." Participants can also use GPS systems in your battle for survival in scenarios related to the "Hunger Games" books.

Registration for today's session, which begins at 10 a.m., is required, but can be done instantly online.

Other things to do today around the area include some "Lucky" fun at Leprechaun Days down in Rosemount, and Eagan Rotary features a speaker from one of the state's largest health insurers over in Eagan, so you can check those out.
