Park Dental Dentists Donate Time, Services to Underserved Youth

Two dentists recently donated their time and expertise to underserved children in the community at Park Dental Salem Square (5350 South Robert Trail, Inver Grove Heights, 651-450-9579).

Dr. Ba T. Lam, Dr. Alison K. McCarville and their teams examined 25 children Feb. 7 as part of the Twin Cities’ Give Kids A Smile program. The Park Dental team performed exams, made x-rays, cleaned teeth, filled cavities, and administered fluoride and sealants during the one-day event, created to provide free dental care to underserved children.

The American Dental Association began the Give Kids a Smile program in 2003. Dentists and other team members volunteer their time and services to provide screenings, treatments and education to children throughout the United States. Each year, approximately 450,000 children benefit from more than 1,500 events, all because of the efforts of 40,000 or more annual volunteers. Learn more at www.ada.org/givekidsasmile.aspx.
