A Mixed Bag of Weather This Weekend

It’s beginning to look a lot like a miserable weather weekend.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for portions of Minnesota and Wisconsin beginning this afternoon. Inver Grove Heights and the rest of Dakota County are included.

Here is the text of the outlook:

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT
AS PRECIPITATION MOVES INTO THE OUTLOOK AREA LATE TONIGHT...IT COULD FALL AS FREEZING RAIN OR DRIZZLE FOR A TIME...OVER A PART CENTRAL MINNESOTA INTO WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN. WHERE TEMPERATURES AT THE SURFACE REMAIN BELOW FREEZING...THIS WOULD BE FREEZING RAIN...WITH LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS POSSIBLE. TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN OR WARM ABOVE FREEZING OVERNIGHT OVER THE AREA.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY
PRECIPITATION WILL TRANSITION TO ALL SNOW LATER SATURDAY AFTERNOON INTO SATURDAY NIGHT. ONE TO THREE INCHES OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE FROM WEST CENTRAL ACROSS CENTRAL MINNESOTA.
MORE ACCUMULATING SNOW IS LOOKING POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY OF NEXT WEEK AS ANOTHER STORM SYSTEM PASSES TO THE SOUTH. TEMPERATURES WITH THIS SYSTEM LOOK TO BE COOLER...WITH ANY PRECIPITATION FALLING AS SNOW.
