• Dolphin Encounters
When/Where: 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7 at the Minnesota Zoo.
Why Go: Get a little closer to the Minnesota Zoo's Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins (including Taijah—a dolphin calf) in this interactive educational program at the Minnesota Zoo. During your adventure you will learn about our dolphins, their personalities and what makes them special. You will tour behind-the-scenes to see the kitchen where dolphin meals are prepared daily. Each participant will join a marine mammal trainer pool side and be given the opportunity for a close encounter with one of our dolphins.
Cost: $150 per participant

• Cash Levy at the Joke Joint Comedy Club
When/Where: 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 6, and Saturday, Jan. 7, at the Joke Joint Comedy Club in Lilydale.
Why Go: Cash Levy is known as one of the finest improvisers in the country. He uses this skill to interact with the audience, whether in a club or in front of a corporate crowd—spontaneously creating jokes specific to any event. His act is lively, current, and always-in good taste.
