Looking for things to do with the whole family this weekend? Look no further than Patch.
- ART ATTACK: SPRING FLING
Where/When: 10am–4:30pm on Friday at the Inver Glen Library in Inver Grove Heights.
Why Go: Create a spring work of art at the Inver Glen Library. Stop by the children's area, where the librarians will have plenty of ideas and art supplies ready for your children. This is a self-directed activity, which means the original artist living in your child will have a chance to shine. The event is for all ages.
Cost: Free
- ICETTES PERFORM "ON BROADWAY"
Where/When: 7pm to 9pm on Saturday at the Apple Valley Sports Arena.
Why Go: Watch the talented varsity figure skating team, the Icettes, from the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District perform "On Broadway."
Cost: Adults $6, seniors and students $4.
- YOUTH SOCCER CARNIVAL
Where/When: 10:30am–12:30pm on Saturday at Veterans Memorial Community Center in Inver Grove Heights.
Why Go: Your kids can get a workout at this free soccer carnival hosted by the Inver Grove Heights Parks and Recreation Department along with the Heat Soccer Association. A celebration the game of soccer in Inver Grove Heights, the carnival will allow you to test the accuracy of your kicks and improve your soccer skills.
Cost: Free
- MAPLE SYRUP TIME
Where/When: 1pm on Saturday at the Dodge Nature Center in Mendota Heights.
Why Go: Celebrate the return of spring by observing the age-old process of turning tree sap into syrup. Observe a tree tapping demonstration, collect sap, visit the evaporator, and sample some delicious maple syrup. This program is designed for kindergarten and older. Pre-registration is required.
Cost: For non-members: Adults $7, children $7, families $20.
- Mother/Son Sports Night
When/Where: 6:30pm to 8:30pm on Friday at in Inver Grove Heights
Why Go: Put on your favorite jersey and have some athletic-themed fun together. Games, music and pizza await.
Pricing: $25 per mother/son pair
