PHOTOS: Night to Unite Brings Inver Grove Heights Neighbors Together

Several Inver Grove Heights neighborhoods, streets and communities celebrated Night to Unite with block parties and special events.

Inver Grove Heights neighborhoods, families and friends gathered Tuesday for food, fun and fellowship in the annual Night to Unite event.

The event, formerly known as National Night Out, is a community-wide crime-prevention event that aims to bring together police, emergency responders and community members. There was no centralized event in Inver Grove Heights, but a number of Neighborhood Watch groups and other organizations hosted block parties, which police, city council members and other city officials attended. Altogether, there were nearly 40 scheduled events held on Tuesday evening.

Rolling Meadows Townhouse Cooperative had one of the liveliest of the neighborhood parties, with a kids bike parade, games, live music, dancing and a dunk tank.
