What: Join the Eagan's Parks and Recreation Department for a free Winter Ice Fishing Try-It Class from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, at Holz Farm Park's lake.  No fishing license is needed for class if you are helping a child 5-16 years old to fish. Equipment is provided and be sure to dress for  outdoors. Pre-registration encouraged by calling Eagan Parks &  Recreation at (651) 675-5500 or register the day of the event.

What: Claire is a 37-year old divorced mother from Nebraska who has moved to Canada for a university teaching position. Her son, David, soon joins her, and as she discovers a new life as a single mom, lesbian, and Jewish woman, David’s journey takes him through his teen years into adulthood.  This dynamite musical, based on true events, looks at the realities of today’s world - equality, same sex marriage, and the changing American family – with “a kick-ass musical score that rocks the house.” (nytheatre.com)

What: Enjoy a free musical concert by the Robb Henry Trio at the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory, under the glass in the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory. Food and drinks will be available to purchase. Guitarist Robb Henry is perhaps best known for his work with Parisota Hot Club, a group he helped form to explore the jazz stylings of french guitarist Django Reinhardt in 2001. The music of the Robb Henry Trio shows deep, musical  ties to past roots with a sensibility of sound firmly planted in the  present.
