INVER GROVE HEIGHTS ASSISTANT CITY ADMINISTRATOR NAMED OUTSTANDING ASSISTANT FOR 2013

Assistant City Administrator, Jenelle Teppen was chosen for the Outstanding Assistant for 2013 Award by the Association of Public Management Professionals.

Assistant City Administrator, Jenelle Teppen was chosen for the Outstanding Assistant for 2013 Award by the Association of Public Management Professionals, an affiliate group of the Minnesota City/County Management Association (MCMA).  MCMA is the professional and educational organization for appointed management executives and assistants serving cities, counties, and other local governments in Minnesota.  MCMA is a state association of the International City/County Management Association.

 

Jenelle has been Inver Grove Heights’ Assistant City Administrator since 1998 and is responsible for its Human Resources, Technology, City Clerk, Communications and City Hall facility.

For nine months in 2011 and 2012 she served as Interim Finance Director which included the supervision of eight staff, and implementation of a new financial accounting software package.

Beginning in 2009, Jenelle served as Project Manager on the $15.8 million dollar Public Safety Addition/City Hall renovation, which has just recently concluded.

 

“Not many individuals can match the number of simultaneous tasks, projects and roles that Jenelle has and perform them so capably”, says City Administrator Joe Lynch. She will be presented with the award on May 2 at the MCMA annual meeting.
