Winter Strikes Back – Or Will It?

Forecasters are not sure whether we'll be hit with lots of snow or rain over the next 36 hours.

What is certain, is that some part of Minnesota will be covered in up to a foot of snow by tomorrow evening. Most likely, it won’t be Inver Grove Heights, or the Twin Cities.

The National Weather Service downgraded its Winter Storm Warning this morning. Light snow is expected to be followed by rain and sleet later today. Rain may turn into snow again tonight and into tomorrow morning, but accumulations should be modest.

Heavier snow is expected North of the Twin Cities. A foot or more is possible in Central and Northern Minnesota.
