IGH Pawn America To Become Largest Store in Minnesota

Pawn America has now leased the former Fred Astaire Dance Studio, bringing its total square footage to more than 32,000.

The Pawn America scheduled to open in Salem Square Shopping Center this summer will become the company's biggest Minnesota store, according to a press statement issued today. 

Late last week, Pawn America leased the space that once held the in addition to the property already leased for the Inver Grove Heights store.

"The family-friendly demographic of Inver Grove Heights is a perfect match for us," Pawn America Community Affairs Director Chuck Armstrong said in a statement. "The people in this community want value for their money and that’s exactly what Pawn America offers. We’ve really enjoyed working with the leaders of Inver Grove Heights who have made us feel welcome from the start."

All told, the Inver Grove Heights Pawn America will offer 32,545 square feet of retail space, including financial offerings Payday America and CashPass Network

Previous tenant, Home Valu, closed up shop in 2008 and the property at 5300 South Robert Trail has laid vacant ever since.

The IGH location will require 30-35 employees.
