Update: Inver Grove Target to Open to Public July 25

Update (July 6, 2012): Target Corporation confirmed to Patch Friday morning that the Inver Grove Heights location will open to the public Wednesday, July 25.

July 25 will be a soft opening with an official grand opening ceremony scheduled for Sunday, July 29.  

Target has scheduled a ribbon-cutting grand opening for local media, city officials, team members and their families for Tuesday, July 24.

Original story (July 5, 2012): The Inver Grove Heights Target is scheduled to officially open to the public on July 29, according to signs posted on the doors of the store. 

Target had long been scheduled to open in "July 2012" but, until now, no date had been confirmed. 

Target could not be immediately reached for comment.  

Target's Bryan Everett, senior vice president of stores for the Midwest, issued the following statement for a March 14 article:

Target is proud to expand its presence in the state where it originated. We take pride in being a good neighbor in the Twin Cities community and developing long-lasting relationships with guests and the Inver Grove Heights community.

It is unclear if the outlet—located at the corner of Highway 55 and South Robert Trail—is planning a grand opening celebration.

What is clear, however, is that the company is still accepting applications for positions within the 135,000 square-foot. 'Now Hiring' signs adorn the front doors and the Robert Trail roundabout.
