- The Big Twang
When/Where? 9:30 p.m., Fri. July 22 at Jersey’s Bar and Grill, 6449 Concord Boulevard East, Inver Grove Heights.
Why Go? Enjoy country/rock performances by Twin Cities urban country band The Big Twang, to the sounds of such musicians as Sugarland, Carrie Underwood, Toby Keith, Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

- Fourth Annual Middle Eastern Festival
When/Where? Noon to 10:00 p.m., Fri. July 22 and Sat. July 23, and noon to 6:00 p.m., Sun. July 24 at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 1250 Oakdale Ave. in West St. Paul.
Why Go? You’ll enjoy authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, a beer and wine garden, live music and traditional dancing, a Middle Eastern marketplace, children’s fun and games, camel rides, a church tour and bookstore, silent auction and much more. St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church is celebrating its 98th anniversary as a parish, making this a festival to remember.

- Rosemount Leprechaun Days
When/Where? Various times, Fri. July 22 to Sun. July 31 at several locations throughout Rosemount. Visit the event schedule for specifics.
Why Go? Enjoy 10 days of family-friendly fun in Rosemount, starting with Bluegrass Americana Music Weekend. The huge list of festive events includes the Run for the Gold, Blarney Stone Hunt, Wet N’ Wild Day, Fishing Derby and puppet shows. AMF City Limits will hold a Family and Teen Night with free unlimited bowling and shoes, along with food specials and trivia games. Fluegal's Farm, Garden and Pet will hold hamster and gerbil races—bring your own, or rent one! Lighthouse Christian Church will present Bathtub Races featuring youth, adult and business teams. As part of Leprechaun Days, the Rosemount Mid-Summer Faire will take place Fri. and Sat. July 29-30 at Central Park, 2893 145th St. West. Merchants and businesses market and sell merchandise while other local organizations hold fundraisers. A parade will take place 11 a.m. Sat. - Waggin’ Tales
When/Where? 10:30 a.m. Sat. July 23 at the Dakota County Library at Rosemount (Robert Trail), Robert Trail Meeting Room
Why Go? Your kids will have fun at the library reading to man’s best friend—specifically, certified therapy dogs. This amusing event is for ages 5 to 10 and will help your kids with reading and fluency.

- Sumunar Indonesian Music and Dance
When/Where? 6:30 p.m., Sun. July 24 at Caponi Art Park, 1220 Diffley Rd. in Eagan. (Rain date: Sun. Aug. 14)
