It's Cold, Getting Colder

A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued.

The National Weather Service issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for many Minnesota counties, including Dakota, through Thursday.

“Very cold arctic air will pour into the region overnight … and create wind chill values of 20 to 30 (degrees) below zero by (Thursday) morning,” according to the outlook for today.

Currently the temperature is 5 degrees with a -8 degree wind chill. There is a 30 percent chance of snow after 3 p.m. There is a south-southeast wind 11 to 15 mph becoming west.

Tomorrow, “wind chill values will average 15 to 26 (degrees) below zero through noon on Thursday (and) accumulating snowfall is likely on Friday,” according to the outlook.
