More Snow Expected on Saturday Evening in Southeastern Metro

A snow storm angling up from the southwest could dust Inver Grove Heights.

Forecasters from the National Weather Service predict that Inver Grove Heights could receive as much as a half-inch of snow on Saturday afternoon and evening, as a storm system moves across southeastern Minnesota.

The weather service is calling for a 50 percent chance of snow on Saturday afternoon and a 70 percent chance on Saturday evening. While weather service forecasters say accumulation will be light, another Twin Cities meteorologist predicts that some parts of the metro area will see up to 3 inches of snow, with the heaviest accumulations in the southeastern metro area.

The high temperature on Saturday is predicted to be 31 degrees, while on Sunday the thermometer should hit 28 degrees.
