PHOTOS: Storm Clouds Roll Over Inver Grove Heights

A fast-moving storm capable of producing a tornado passed directly over western Inver Grove Heights mid-afternoon yesterday.

The cell, which spawned tornado warnings for Dakota County and much of the metro area, never produced a tornado. But it dropped heavy rain over parts of the city. The forecast by the National Weather Service calls for as much as a half-inch of additional rainfall today and possible thunderstorms tonight.
