Scene From Inver Grove Heights: Creative Uses for Duct Tape

Kids made purses, bracelets and wallets with duct tape at the Inver Glen Library.

Duct tape can be more than just a handy repair tool.

Kids of all ages put their creativity to the test Wednesday at the Inver Glen Library for the summer reading program's duct tape crafts. Participants used a variety of colors, and had the option to follow directions for specific crafts or let their imagination go wild with their own unique creations.

Hats, bracelets, purses, wallets, and notebook decorations were just a handful of the finished products.

The Dakota County Libraries system has lots of activities scheduled this summer for both kids and adults. Stop by the RAD Zoo at 10:30 a.m. this Thursday or song writing with Sasha Mercedes for teens at 1:30 p.m. on June 29th.
