Three IGH Teams Reach State in Destination Imagination Competition

Eight teams from Inver Grove Heights participated in the regional competition and three will advance to the state tournament.

Three teams from Inver Grove Heights qualified on Saturday for the Destination Imagination state tournament on April 20 at Champlin Park High School.

Destination Imagination is an educational program in which students work together to solve open-ended, off-kilter challenges such as creating a story about the dangers posed by vehicles from the point of view of the vehicles or making a structure entirely from glue and materials chosen from a list.

One team, "Fame Hit Us Like a Ton of Bricks," from Simley High School, placed first in their challenge during the regional competition. Congrats to the team's members, Madi Dian, Sophia McFarland, Reanna Persaud, Libby Rettinger, Lindsay Schneider, Lindsay Moynihan and Kira Weikleenget.
