Grande Day Parade

When I was younger some of my favorite memories are seeing the queens in the Grande Day Parade -- I always dreamed of being one of them. I finally had this chance on the 26th of January when I was invited to ride along on the South Wind bus and represent my city as the 2013 Inver Grove Heights Princess.  The weather was a bit chilly but that didn't stop the fun!!  I had the chance to congratulate the newly-crowned Winter Carnival Royalty at their first event.  As we traveled on the parade route, I had a great time yelling a few “Ole's” with the rest of the royalties and chaperones on the South Wind bus. This was a parade I will never forget!
