Holiday on Main Street

December 15th 2012

On Saturday, December 15th, my Royal Sisters and I attended Holiday on Main Street at the Veterans Memorial Community Center.   Organized by City Councilman Bill Klein and hosted by Mayor George Tourville, this event was a kickoff to the Holiday season. There were crafts, games, food, drink, and even a bouncy house!  We had the opportunity to volunteer at some of the stations including the coloring table, the craft table, and the bouncy house.  It was great seeing all the kids having so much fun.  Later that afternoon, the two girls who found the golden candy canes at the Candy Cane Hunt (held earlier that day) were able to light the Christmas tree.  All of us there counted down to the Holiday season and we flipped the switch on the huge power box which lit the tree.  As a Royal surprise, the St. Paul Winter Carnival made an appearance.  What a treat!!  This was fun afternoon and a great way to start the Holiday season.
