The River Heights Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with sponsors Pawn America Minnesota, LLC., Payday America, Xcel Energy and Dakota Electric Association, is conducting its first Small Business Makeover Contest this fall (Oct. 16 - Nov. 15, 2013) for one lucky small business/entrepreneur to win up to a $20,000 Small Business Makeover!
“This is an excellent opportunity for a small business (winner) in the River Heights area to gain access to THOUSANDS of dollars worth of services and products for FREE and for supporting businesses (sponsors) to be promoted in the business community! Who Can Enter to Win? If your business is located/headquartered in the River Heights region, is a member of the River Heights Chamber of Commerce (new members welcome), has been in business for a minimum of three years (as of 2010), has 25 or fewer employees, is a For-Profit business, has ethical business practices and can show a need for a makeover, you can apply at www.RiverHeightsBizMakeover.com! All applications are due by November 15th, so don't delay!
“We are excited to offer this unique opportunity by holding a Small Business Makeover Contest to support the River Heights Chamber of Commerce's vision to promote the business community and the growth of an entrepreneur/local small business in our area,” says Jennifer Gale, President of the River Heights Chamber of Commerce.
How does the Contest work? Applicants’ business name and video/photo will be put online in a poll (Nov. 18 - Nov. 27, 2013) on the Contest’s website (www.RiverHeightsBizMakeover) and/or Facebook Contest for the business community to view and vote on which business they think should win the makeover. The River Heights Chamber of Commerce will narrow the entries down to three (3) finalists from among the eligible entries received in combination with the voting results from the poll. These finalists will be reviewed by a Selection Committee and one (1) small business/entrepreneur will be selected as the “winner” of the 2013 River Heights Chamber Small Business Makeover Contest and announced/revealed at the River Heights Chamber’s Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on December 17, 2013 at Southview Country Club.
