IGH Days Fundraising for the Parade and Fireworks

Did you know that it costs well over $6,000 to put on the Inver Grove Heights Days Parade or over $10,000 for the annual fireworks display? Where does that money come from? People like you.

The annual fundraising push to raise funds for the parade and fireworks is on. The majority of the funds to host two of the largest Inver Grove Heights Days events comes from community fundraising. Each year the Inver Grove Heights Days committee sends out donation request letters in an effort to raise the neccesary funds to host these events. Individuals contribute from $5 and up.

Why the need to fundraise? Fees and button sales just don't cover the costs. Did you know the Inver Grove Heights Days committee pays bands anywhere from $250.00 to $500.00 to play in the parade? This includes high school marching bands. How about clowns and clown clubs? Yup, they get paid too.
