Erik Estrada Visits SSP Moose Lodge 1088

Moose Lodge 1088 along with Moose International and Safe Surfin' USA Foundation along with celebrity spokesman, Erik Estrada came to town to promote safety for kids on the internet on June 5, 2013.

On Wednesday June 5, 2013 Erik Estrada made his first Lodge Visit in Minnesota at Moose Lodge 1088 in Inver Grove Heights, MN on June 5, 2013. He came and greeted visitors and fans from 5-7pm, signing limited-edition bandanas and promoting his film, “Finding Faith,” as part of an on-going campaign as their spokesman for Safe Surfin’ USA Foundation. This foundation, along with Moose International support a 3-pronged initiative involving education, criminal enforcement and advocacy addressing the issues of keeping the internet safe for kids relating to child abduction prevention.

In 1998, The Bedford County Sheriff’s office in Virginia became one of the first agencies to initiate an Internet Crime Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. The Moose Lodge in Bedford stepped forward to assist this ICAC Task Force and generously donated $150,000 to enable the Safe Surfin’ Foundation to continue it’s outreach. Moose lnternational provides “major funding” to Safe Surfin’ Foundation.

They believe Education is the best defense to prevent another child from falling victim.
