Hastings Bridge, Mississippi River Reopen
The span opened at around 1 p.m. today—17 hours earlier than expected—according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Motorists traveling near Hastings will once again be able to cross the Mississippi River via Highway 61 and the Hastings Bridge.
The span opened at around 1 p.m. today—17 hours earlier than expected.
Highway 61 closed early Saturday, Sept. 22 for the float-in and lift of the main span of the new bridge.

River traffic also will re-open between Lock and Damn No. 2 and the CP Railroad Bridge.
