Feed My Starving Children is a great organization that helps people that you may or may not meet in your life by giving them a chance where they can actually believe in hope and compassion. On May 3rd my mother and I walked through a door that I will never forget. The compassion, love and support were overwhelming and was a beautiful thing to see. As I listened to the “choir” of 5th graders who were also attending singing Call Me Maybe, I was in awe to see how much helping others makes one feel better. It’s not always about just giving yourself what you want. At the end of the day I had helped put enough meals together to feed 44 children for a whole year. To think that 44 children had been helped in this way gave me a feeling that I will not forget!
