On Friday, June 29th, the Inver Grove Heights Royal family visited our neighbors in South St. Paul for the annual Kaposia Days Parade. After some delicious food at the pre-parade gathering we rode the float to the line-up area. This was a special parade for the royalty because joining us was Sara Lazaro Marcaida who was visiting from Spain. We held a fun little ceremony to welcome her and made her Honorary Ambassador for Inver Grove Heights. Kaposia Days is always a lot of fun, and this year’s parade was no exception! Even though the weather did not want to cooperate with us with rain on and off while we were in line-up and at the pre-parade gathering, the streets were absolutely packed on both sides of the route. It felt like the whole city was there – it probably was. After the parade we stopped at the post parade party held at the VFW for some treats and pictures with other visiting Royalty groups. What a celebration for a wonderful neighboring city!!
