On September 20th, I joined Inver Grove Heights Princess 2014, Kacie Bartholomew, in giving back to our Inver Grove Heights elementary schools -- Salem Hills, Hilltop, and Pine Bend -- as well as Inver Grove Heights Middle School. Even though the rain was playing tricks on us, it didn't stop us from happily delivering our collected school supplies from coronation! We also met with the principals and other faculty of the schools. Being able to make things better for our schools by donating these supplies was a great feeling!! I remember forgetting a pencil or two and needing those extras! Education is such an important part of our lives, especially children, and I'm glad the schools will be able to make good use of the supplies we brought. It was definitely a fun feeling for us to go back to the schools we once attended and say “hi” to the adults that impacted our lives at such an early age! It was a rewarding event and I hope to do something similar to this again in the future.
