Inver Grove Heights Royalty had the great pleasure of attending and volunteering at the Special Olympics Hawaiian Luau. The event was held at the So. St. Paul VFW on Sunday, August 11th. Cathy Johnston (District Director for the Special Olympics) did an amazing job on organizing such a fun event for these special Olympians. We had so much fun painting nails, doing tattoos, and dancing to the music of a great DJ. The Olympians and their families looked like they we having a great time too. Our 2014 candidates that are running for Little, Junior, and Miss Inver Grove Heights were with us as well. Not only a great team-building experience, but they hopefully got a little taste of how much fun it is to serve our community. Thanks again to Cathy for such an amazing day!
