St. Paul Winter Carnival's Torchlight Parade
On Saturday, February 1st, Kacie Bartholomew (Inver Grove Heights Princess) and I got to be a part of the St. Paul Winter Carnival's Torchlight Parade. We rode on the Southwind bus and it was such a great time! Everyone had so much energy and we were dancing and "Ole"-ing the night away! We got to circle through the parade route twice -- there were so many people watching. On the bus with us were some nearby royal girls from South St. Paul. It was fun to visit with them and other royal ladies again. We also talked to the North and East Wind princes and got kissed with chili peppers and snowflakes on our cheeks which turned rosy red by the end of the parade. At the end of the route we watched the legend play out with the Vulcans’ attempt to overthrow Boreas's realm as the ten days of carnival ended. This was one of my favorite Winter Carnival events and it was something I will always remember -- it was such a blast!
