On Wednesday, December 18, 2013, Sophia Dahlke and I proudly donned our Inver Grove Heights Royalty garb and lugged bags upon bags full of toys to Cub Foods in Inver Grove Heights to donate them to the Toys for Tots Foundation. We were met by Joan, the manager for the day of Cub. Their bin at Cub had to be emptied about two times a day because of the abundant amount of donations they had been receiving on a daily basis. It was great to hear that so many people donated to the foundation so that kids who were less fortunate still got toys on Christmas. Sophia collected approximately 80 toys at her school, which was a very large donation and was awesome that so many middle school scholars did so without any compensation. There were many private toy donations made to our collection. As Royalty Has-Beens (Sophia – 2012 Little Miss Inver Grove Heights and Marnie – 2011 Inver Grove Heights Jr. Princess) it was our pleasure to once again represent with pride our Program and give to such a wonderful charity.
