Blotter: Car Collides with School Bus

A number of burglaries and robberies were also recorded on the Inver Grove Heights police reports for Sept. 24-30.

Sept. 23

10:16 p.m.—Police responded to a possession of marijuana/paraphernalia incident on the 7700 block of River Road E.

Sept. 24

8 p.m.—Police responded to a burglary/theft incident on the 6300 block of Concord Blvd. E.

9:19 p.m.—Police responded to a report of a burglary at a business on the 5500 block of Bishop Ave. E. An employee reported that when he came to work that morning, he discovered that someone had broken out one of the glass panels in an overhead garage door on the north side of the building. Security video shows a white male climbing through the door and reaching into a stand near the door that held a cash register. No money was inside the register at the time of the burglary. Police had no suspects at the time of the report.

11:24 p.m.—Police responded to a possession of marijuana incident on the 8300 block of Copperfield Way E.

Sept. 25

11:15 a.m.—Police responded to an armed robbery on the 6100 bock of Carmen Ave. E.

4:57 p.m.—Police responded to a report of a robbery on the 6500 block of Cahill Ave. E.

5:30 p.m.—Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct on the 8800 bock of Broderick Blvd.

Sept. 27

4:20 p.m.—Police responded to a possession of marijuana incident along 96 St. E. 

Sept. 28

1:30 p.m.—Police responded to a third-degree assault incident at the 8100 block of Cahill Ave.

4:10 p.m.—Police responded to a report of a car accident at the intersection of 71st Street E. and Dawn Avenue. When officers arrived at the scene, they found that a vehicle rear-ended a school bus carrying approximately 50 students. At the time of the accident, no one reported any injuries, but the father of a student on the bus later called police to report his son suffered whiplash and headaches as a result of the accident.

Sept. 29

8:37 p.m.—Police responded to a domestic assault by strangulation incident on the 6600 block fo River Rd. E.
