Blotter: Driver Lies, Then Tells Police He "Forgot" He Was Carrying Marijuana

Robbery, burglary calls also included in the police reports from Feb. 19 through Feb. 25.

Feb. 19

1:39am — A 25-year-old man was cited for possession of 1.4 grams of marijuana after an Inver Grove Heights police officer pulled his vehicle over on the 6700 block of River Road for having an unilluminated license plate. When he approached the car, the officer could smell a "strong odor" of burnt marijuana. The driver told police that he didn't have any marijuana on him. After searching the suspect, police found 1.4 grams of the drug. When asked by the officer if he forgot that he was carrying it, the driver responded, "Actually, yeah I did."

2:52pm — Damage to a police squad car was reported on the 8000 block of Barbara Avenue.

3:30pm — Police responded to an aggravated robbery and burglary call on the 5900 block of Concord Boulevard.

5:35pm — Police responded to reports of a burglary on the 8200 block of College Trail.

Feb. 22

12:45pm — Police responded to a terroristic threats report on the 2900 block of 80th Street E.

2:06pm — Police responded to a disorderly conduct report on the 8100 block of Cahill Avenue.

9:55pm — Police responded to reports of a robbery on Robert Trail.

Feb. 24

12:09pm — Police responded to a report of possession of marijuana on the 5400 block of Robert Trail South.
