Blotter: Feud Boils Over After Pepper Spray Incident

Sept. 12

8:59 p.m.— A good deed didn't pay off for one 57-year-old Inver Grove Heights man, who told police that a 46-year-old man assaulted him after the older man went to help him tie up his boat. Police responded to the call on the 4400 block of 66th St. E. and spoke with both men, who have a history of violent disputes. The older man told officers he sprayed the younger man in the face with pepper spray after the younger man began shoving him. The younger man disagreed, saying the 57-year-old sprayed him without provocation. Neither was charged with assault, but police advised the two to stay away from each other.

Sept. 19

8:28 p.m.—Police responded to a reckless discharge of a firearm incident on Dowell Ave. in Inver Grove Heights.

Sept. 20

4:44 a.m.—Police responded to a theft/weapons call on the 8100 block of Cahill Ave. S.

Sept. 21

1:15 a.m.—Police responded to a report of a burglary on the 9200 block of Tyne Lane.

10 a.m.—Police responded to a burglary call on the 3200 block of Cuneen Trail E.

11 a.m.—Police responded to a domestic assault incident on the 2900 block of 80th St. E.

11:20 a.m.—Police responded to an incident involving drug paraphernalia on the 2900 block of 80th St. E.

11:30 a.m.—Police responded to a burglary call on the 8500 block of College Trail.

4:26 p.m.—Police responded to a disorderly conduct/mental health incident on the 4900 block of Ashley Lane.

Sept. 23

5:42 a.m.—Police responded to a burglary/possession of stolen property incident at the 1000 block of 110th St. E.
