Blotter: Homeowner Fights "Large" Grass Fire With Garden Hose

Terroristic threats, disorderly conduct calls recorded on the Inver Grove Heights police reports for April 9-15.

April 9

9:45pm — Police responded to a second degree assault call on the 7800 block of Barbara Ave.

April 10

7:04am — Police responded to a terroristic threats call on the 5300 block of Greystone Drive E. and arrested 21-year-old Giovanni Celaya. Officers allegedly found death threats on the cell phone of a female victim from Celaya. Police said Celaya was parked outside the victim's apartment at the time of the arrest.

8pm — Police responded to a disorderly conduct call on the 5800 block of Cahill Avenue.

April 11

3pm — Police executed an arrest warrant on a man on the 6900 block of Cahill Avenue.

April 12

1:01pm — Police responded to a disorderly conduct call on the 5400 block of Blackberry Trail.

5:49pm — The Inver Grove Heights Fire Department responded to report of a recreational fire that had gotten out of control at a home on the 8300 block of Alta Avenue. Emergency responders arrived to find the homeowner frantically fighting a "large grass fire" that had consumed much of his backyard. The homeowner told firefighters that he didn't want them to respond, because they "would charge him money." The department put out the fire anyway.

7:49pm — A 20-year-old man with an active arrest warrant turned himself in at the police station. He was transported to Dakota County Jail.

April 14

10:15am — Police responded to a disorderly conduct call on the 2900 block of 80th St. E.

12:11pm — Police responded to a disorderly conduct call on the 2900 block of 80th St. E.

April 15

12:42am — Police responded to a terroristic threats call on the 7800 block of Cahill Avenue. Officers arrested 35-year-old Calhoun Fluker after he allegedly sent threatening text messages to his ex-girlfriend, saying that he would "hurt" her and her family.
