Blotter: Inver Grove Heights Man Goes Missing, Found in Neighbor's Kitchen

Several burglaries and one drug paraphernalia charge were recorded in the police reports for Feb. 5 through Feb. 11.

Feb. 5

5:34am — Police respond to reports of a burglary on the 4900 block of Ashley Lane in Inver Grove Heights.

Feb. 6

2:23am — Police stopped a vehicle on Hwy. 52 for a burnt-out headlight. Upon approaching the car, the officer detected the odor of "burnt marijuana" emanating from the vehicle and searched the vehicle. The officer cited the 18-year-old driver with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of alcohol after finding a glass pipe and a bottle of liquor in the car.

Feb. 7

3:38pm — Police responded to reports of a fire on the 3000 block of 65th Street E. in Inver Grove Heights.

Feb 8.

1:50pm — Police responded to reports of a burglary on the 3800 block of 66th Street E.

8:06pm — Police responded to a disorderly conduct call on the 8100 block of Cahill Avenue.

Feb. 11

5:39pm — A family member called to report that 79-year-old Curtis Eugene Hansen was missing from his residence on the 1900 block of 87th Street West. Police initiated a seach for Hansen, who suffers from Alzheimer's, and called in a Minnesota State Patrol helicopter and a K9 unit to assist. Hansen was eventually found by a 26-year-old neighbor, who went out to help search for the man, only to find Hansen sitting in the kitchen when the neighbor returned to his house. Hansen was unharmed.

10:30pm — Police responded to reports of disorderly conduct on the 5800 block of Blaine Avenue.
