Blotter: Police Cite Group of Teens For Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Burglaries, assault, disorderly conduct also recorded in the Inver Grove Heights police reports for April 16 through April 22.

April 15

9:34pm — Police responded to reports of a third-degree burglary on the 9700 block of Robert Trail S.

2:15pm — Police responded to a disorderly conduct call on the 8100 block of Cahill Ave.

April 16

4:14pm — Police responded to a report of an assault on the 3100 block of of 65th Street E. Officers spoke to the victim, who said he was in the hallway of an apartment building, when two unknown males assaulted him, punching him in the face and shoulder. Another witness saw two men matching the description run to a white vehicle outside the building, but didn't get the license plates. Police are investigating.

4:56pm — Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct on Capital Drive. The victim told officers that his 44-year-old neighbor had been yelling and swearing at him. The victim told officers that he didn't want his children to hear language like that. Police spoke to the neighbor, whose breath smelled like alcohol. A short time later, the victim called to report that the neighbor was yelling. Police arrived and transported the man to a detox facility. He was cited for disorderly conduct.

April 17

1:30am — Police responded to a report of a fight on the 1400 block of Upper 55th Street involving 15 people. Upon arriving, officers caught up with three Hispanic males. One, who had bruises and red marks on his face, told officers he was outside smoking when a group of white males attacked him. Police searched the area, but couldn't find anyone else.

3:07pm — Police responded to reports of a fire on the 1400 block of Upper 55th Street E.

April 18

2:14pm — Police responded to reports of a runaway on the 4600 block of Blaylock Way.

April 19

12:45am — Police responded to a disorderly conduct call on the 8100 block of Cahill Avenue E.

4:36pm — Police responded to a disorderly conduct call on the 1900 block of Lower 87th Street W.

April 21

1:30am — Police responded to reports of a burglary on on the 1400 block of Upper 55th Street.

9:17pm — Police responded to the 4900 block of Ashley Lane on reports of drug activity. An officer knocked on the door of a residence, and was let in by a young woman. Inside, the officer found a group of people playing video games. On a coffee table nearby, the officer found a bong, three glass pipes with residue on them and a grinder for marijuana. Three 18-year-olds, on 19-year-old, one 22-year-old and one 17-year-old were cited for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
