Blotter: Vandals Throw Miller High Life Beer Through Window

July 12

6 p.m.—Police responded to a report of a missing person on the 3900 block of 78th St. E.

July 23

2 a.m.—Police responded to a report of a burglary on the 3300 block of 69th St. E. A 73-year-old woman told officers that someone entered her garage, rifled through her glove box and stole a pair of sunglasses. The garage door was mistakenly left open, according to the report.

4:05 a.m.—Police responded to a criminal damage to property call on the 7800 block of Boyd Ave. E. A woman told the officer that two males—one with shoulder-length hair—threw a Miller High Life beer through the front window of her home, breaking it. The males fled north from her home, swearing as they went. Police took photos of the beer can.

July 24

5:45 a.m.—Police responded to a report of a burglary on the 6400 block of Dawn Way E.

July 26

7:19 p.m.—An argument over golf clubs nearly resulted in a fist fight, according to police reports. Police responded to a disorderly conduct call on the 10900 block of Alison Way, where a 21-year-old man told officers his neighbor had threatened him over a dispute over borrowed golf clubs. The man told officers he and his neighbor "traded" golf clubs, and that his neighbor had sent him frequent text messages demanding that he return the clubs. That evening, the man told police, the neighbor confronted him about the clubs and threatened to fight him. The man asked police about applying for an order of protection against the neighbor, but when police followed up on the case, they discovered that the man decided to return the clubs to his neighbor.

11:08 p.m.—Police responded to a burglary alarm at Relax and Tan at 5858 Blaine Ave. E. An officer observed fresh pry marks on the front doors to the business, although the front door and back door seemed locked and secure. Police followed up with the business owner, who told officers that someone managed to enter the store and stole less than $100. Security cameras were off at the time.

July 27

7:30 a.m.—Police responded to a report of a domestic assault on the 1400 block of Upper 55th St.

July 28

10:45 p.m.—Police responded to a report of a runaway on the 8100 block of Cameo Cir. E.

July 29

5 a.m.—Police responded to a domestic assault and damage to property incident on the 6100 block of Carmen Ave. E.
