Blotter: Victim's Vehicle Smeared With Dog Feces

Several burglaries and a terroristic threats call were also recorded in the Inver Grove Heights police reports for April 23 through April 29.

April 23

10:15pm — Police responded to reports of an assault on the 2300 block of 75th Street E.

11pm — Police responded to reports of a burglary on the 7300 block of Barbara Avenue.

April 24

9:44am — Police responded to reports of a runaway on the 6300 block of Carleda Way E.

10:45pm — Police responded to reports of a burglary on the 3200 block of 78th Street E.

April 25

12:45am — Police responded to reports of a burglar on the 5600 block of Bishop Avenue.

10:15am — Police responded to a terroristic threats call on the 1400 block of Upper 55th Street. The 47-year-old caller reported that his girlfriend's former partner threatened to shoot him following an argument over the partner's children. Police contacted the suspect, who admitted that an argument took place, but denied threatening the caller. At the time of the report, no charges had been filed.

April 27

8:15am — Police responded to a counterfeit currency report on the 5700 block of Cahill Avenue.

8pm — Police responded to a disorderly conduct call on the 4700 block of Blaine Avenue. The caller reported that someone smeared his vehicle's door handles and windshield with dog feces while the vehicle was parked in his driveway overnight. The caller told police that he owns a dog, but never received any complaints about the animal, and had no idea why anyone would want to vandalize the vehicle. The victim requested an extra police patrol and reported the incident to his townhome association.

10:35pm — Police responded to reports of a burglary on the 7400 block of Clayton Avenue.

April 28

3pm — Police responded to reports of an injured dog on the 7100 block of Cahill Avenue.

April 29

4:30pm — Police responded to reports of an attempted burglary on the 5300 block of Audobon Avenue. The caller reported to police that she had difficulty unlocking the deadbolt when she returned home. When she finally was able to open her door, she noticed pry marks on the inside edge of the door. The trim around the door was also loose. Police took photos of the damage and spoke with neighbors, who denied seeing anything suspicious. At the time of the report, no charges had been filed.
