Blotter: Woman Charged After Allegedly Punching Ex-Boyfriend in Face

Burglaries, domestic assault and assault calls all recorded on the Inver Grove Heights police reports for Sept. 10-16

Sept. 7

6 a.m.—Police responded to a child neglect call on the 4000 block of 74th St. E.

7:30 a.m.—Police responded to a second-degree burglary/theft incident on the 9300 block of Tyne Ln.

8:15 p.m.—Police responded to a burglary call on the 5700 block of Blaine Ave. An employer told police that she arrived at work to find $200 missing, and that she believed an employee who had missed work for a week may have used her key to the business to take the money. Police were unable to contact and question the employee.

Sept 10

3:10 a.m.— Police responded to an assault by strangulation incident on the 1400 block of Upper 55th St. E.

7:33 p.m.—Police responded to a negligent fire call on the 2900 block of 80th St. E.

Sept. 13

7:30 p.m.—Police responded to a robbery call along Concord Boulevard E.

Sept. 14

2:30 p.m.—Police responded to an assault call on the 2900 block of 80th St. E.

Sept. 15

5:46 p.m.—Police responded to a second-degree assault/terroristic threats incident on Eagle Circle E.

9:09 p.m.—Police responded to a domestic assault call on the 6900 block of Dickman Trail E.

Sept. 16

1 a.m.—Police responded to a domestic assault incident on the 5600 block of Bishop Ave. E. A 22-year-old male told police that his ex-girlfriend, 21, punched him in the face without provocation while the two were at a bar. Police spoke to two witnesses, who said the victim approached the woman and two friends while they were in conversation, when the woman "came out of nowhere" and punched the man in the nose. Police observed dried blood in the man's nostrils, but were unable to find the alleged assailant. Officers mailed a fifth-degree domestic assault citation to the woman.

5:41 p.m.—Police responded to a report of a burglary on the 8300 block of River Rd.

6:08 p.m.—Police responded to an animal cruelty incident on the 4000 block of 59th St. E.
