BREAKING: Driver OK After Semi Slides Off Hwy 52 Ramp

According to State Troopers at the scene, the driver was planning to make the turn onto the northbound 52 ramp when another driver cut him off.

The driver of an 18-wheel semi truck that rolled off the Highway 52 ramp in Inver Grove Heights was unhurt, according to Minnesota Department of Public Safety Sgt. Richard Wegner.

The accident happened at around 10:45 this morning and despite being temporarily trapped in the cab, the driver emerged unscathed.

"The ambulance came and checked him out and they said he's fine," Wegner told Patch at the scene.

The driver—who was unavailable to comment—was planning to make the turn onto the northbound 52 ramp when another driver cut him off, Wegner said.

The semi truck was filled with pallets of flattened cardboard boxes and bags of insulation.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash. 

Today's rollover is the second crash at that site in five weeks. On July 12, a man after failing to properly slow down to take the ramp.
