Firefighter Memorial Dedication to be Aired on Town Square TV
The ceremony is scheduled to take place from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30.
More than 4,000 people, including families of Minnesota firefighters who died in the line of duty and fire officials, will gather on the State Capitol grounds Sept. 30 to dedicate the newly installed Minnesota Fallen Firefighter Memorial.
Inver Grove Heights-based Town Square Television is providing live coverage of the event on Metro Cable Network/Cable Channel 6, available to all cable subscribers in the Twin Cities metropolitan Area and reaching more than 650,000 cabled homes within the seven surrounding counties.

The ceremony is scheduled to take place from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30, Minnesota’s recently designated Fallen Firefighters Memorial Day.
Since 1881, 206 Minnesota firefighters have died in the line of duty. Their names will be inscribed on columns throughout the memorial, located on the south side of the Capitol grounds. As part of the memorial dedication, each firefighter’s family will receive a Minnesota State flag that has been flown over the State Capitol.
