IGH Couple Charged With Stealing Money From a Nonprofit
Timothy Wayne Froelich and Joyce Joann Froelich face one count of felony theft of swindle apiece.
An Inver Grove Heights couple has been charged with stealing money from a nonprofit organization.
Timothy Wayne Froelich, 54, and his wife, Joyce Joann Froelich, 51, were charged with one count apiece of felony theft by swindle.

On Aug. 12, 2011, board members of an Inver Grove Heights nonprofit told Inver Grove Heights Police the treasurer of the nonprofit, Joyce Froelich, allegedly stole $2,070 from the organization’s checking account. She allegedly wrote 10 checks totalling $1,670 that were cashed at a bank in West St. Paul, as well as taking another $400.
The board also accused Timothy Froelich of assisting with the theft.

The couple reportedly paid back $1,000 of the stolen money.
When questioned by police, the couple allegedly admitted to stealing the money to help play bills. Both said Timothy Froelich first brought up the idea.
Timothy Froelich said the couple intended to pay back all of the money to the nonprofit, but “other stuff came up.”
The felony charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in jail and a fine of $10,000.
The first court appearance for the couple is scheduled for April 9.
The name of the nonprofit organization was not identified in court documents.
