Those who attend are being asked to “Support Our Troops” by
bringing in a new item to donate to the women and men in the military,
according to a news release from the IGH Fire Department.
Items sought include:
- Cotton or wool socks (black, olive green or white)
- Prepaid phone cards
- Non-perishable microwave foods
- Ready to eat snacks
- Nuts and jerky
- Toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, lotions, deodorant, etc. (please no free samples, or hotel samples)
- Board games
If you can’t make it to the open house, items continue to be
collected between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Oct. 14-18, 2013 at the fire window at City
Hall, 8150 Barbara Avenue.
