According to the criminal complaints, agents with the Dakota County Drug Task Force made arrangements with a confidential informant three times last February to buy methamphetamine from Jack.

“It should be noted that agents were familiar with Dennis Jack, as they had received information from multiple concerned citizens and confidential informants over the past two years that Jack sells methamphetamine,” the complaint says.

The informant was given “buy fund” money on three occasions in February and provided with an audio recording device, then met with Jack at his home in the 6900 block of Dixie Avenue and bought methamphetamine from him with the money provided by the task force, according to the complaint.

The informant told police the only other person in the home was Jack’s girlfriend, known to the informant only as Kim.

On Feb. 24, task force agents executed a search warrant at the home, where they arrested Jack and Donohue.

Among the items recovered in a subsequent search were numerous small plastic bags containing methamphetamine, bags containing marijuana, a digital scale, methamphetamine and marijuana pipes, surveillance cameras and $2,970 in U.S. currency, according to the complaint.

Donohue claimed that a tin found between the mattress and box spring in the master bedroom, containing eight small bags of crystal methamphetamine, marijuana and syringes, belonged to her, the complaint says. She told police that she didn’t know anything about any other drugs in the home.

Donohue was convicted twice in 2000 of drug possession, once in Dakota County and once in Ramsey County. Jack’s criminal record includes a 2000 conviction in Dakota County for drug possession and a 2003 conviction in Ramsey County for possession of methamphetamine.
